As a Christian we are called to be our brothers and sisters keepers, so when I came across some information about BigChurch's website, I felt compelled to bring to light my findings. When you are single and a christian you may decide to try the online dating services. I cannot answer for you if this is a good idea or not. I recommend you take it to prayer since the answer to that question is different for each individual. But if you have decided to take the plunge into christian dating online, then I can give you some important information about one site that may help your search.

First of all lets look at what BigChurch is claiming to be. You may have come across this site in web searches or online advertisements. They have invested quite a bit of money to gain a heavy " Christian Dating " population for their dating service. The site looks professional and its members are indeed christians. On their site, they have the ability to read and grab scriptures from the bible, and they also have a good community article section. For finding other christian singles, you can use their browse feature which has "men seeking women", "women seeking men", "penpals", and "Bible/Study and Prayer Partner". One thing I did find was that even though the article area has some decent writing in it, there are a lot of articles that were very inappropriate to the site and content (like spam and anti-christian flaming). This leads me to believe that it is un-moderated, which is not a good thing for those who use the service. But all of that is not where the conflict arises. The problem with BigChurch is not their features or members, but the

company itself.

BigChurch is owned by GlobalAlphabet, Inc (A.K.A FriendFinder Network). GlobalAlphabet, Inc. owns FriendFinder and AdultFriendFinder web properties. The AdultFriendFinder website is the leading internet "sex buddy" search. The AdultFriendFinder website is setup mostly like a dating site, but with the ability to post and show nude photos and the ability to search for just someone to have sex with. As a reminder, sex is reserved by the Lord as a act for and between married couples. Anything otherwise is a sin and will result in many problems. I am not trying to sound like a prude, I speak unfortunately, by my testimony and experience. As a Christian single , you probably don't want to invest your money in a company who gives these services. I also speculate that your customer information is shared for advertising reasoning between the different FriendFinder network sites. After reading the privacy policy on BigChurch, I can say this is a very real possibility.

The point is, there are many many good Christian dating sites out there; this site however, is not one of them.
